NIHCOsurf
NIHCOsurf is located directly inshore from P-pass. It is a passage in the barrier reef that surrounds Pohnpei that is positioned perfectly to shape North Pacific swells into world-class right hand barrels. These swells are most common from October through April. When head high or less it is a very rippable wave allowing for turns. Beyond that it is a multiple section barrel start to finish. Unlike many reef passes, P-Pass is surfable on all tides.
Pohnpei is home to several other waves, each requiring very special and uncommon combinations of wind and swell. If conditions line up, NIHCOsurf does occasionally search out alternatives to P-Pass.
